Episotomie du Troisième Oeil

I showed my friend Hailey this card, and she mused "The Third eye, our spiritual vision, strips away the masks and costumes that we wear daily to see our true selves. It is  after we strip away the layers of false identities that we can see ourselves for who we truly are, and start living the truth, becoming who we were always meant to be.”

In this image we see the depiction of a body with their nervous system exposed, split open by their third eye, revealing the fertile, raw exposed life underneath. When we become too “married to our masks,” they become such a part of ourselves that we forget that they are removable, and we may require some divine medicinal intervention.

Masks and costumes come in many forms, and do serve some important purposes. Particularly now, in 2024, it is often unsafe to reveal our true self in many circumstances. Sometimes the threat is real, and other times it is a fear we carry based on past experience, or fear of the unknown. When we wear these masks too long and/or never take them off - we can lose sight of our center, our highest purpose, our connection to humanity, and our souls work. 

Always having to perform takes its toll, taking our energy away from fully living, hindering the possibility of authentic relationship with self, others, and all life. 
Episiotomie is the surgical cut made to assist in a difficult birth, and is a procedure of last resort. It is best to tear and heal naturally, rough edges and all. This card invites us to spend dedicated time assessing our masks and costumes, the purposes they serve in our lives, and move into a more conscious relationship with them. It invites us to find dedicated places where we can reveal ourselves to our core - stripping off ego and identity to be one with life on a multi-dimensional plane.

This card reminds us that while our third-eye would prefer to work WITH us, offering its guidance and insight in harmony with our natural rhythms, that if we do not engage it will “cut a botch open” with laser beam precision, assuming  the role of divine surgeon when we refuse to focus, breathe, and push into what needs to be birthed through us. We are asked to breathe, push, tear, and heal - through our own efforts.

Will you bring yourself into focused presence for what needs to be birthed through you, or will resist until your your deeper knowing cuts you in ways that no longer allow you to access all of the tools you have been using to cope and exist in the world we live in, rather than the world we dream of. We need you, powerful co-creator. We are waiting for you to reveal yourself!
